Delivering a Christ-centered Education
Academic Excellence is the standard expectation at Skagit Adventist Academy. We provide students with a special opportunity to learn and experience academics from qualified educators with a Christian worldview.
As an Adventist school, we’re part of a much larger organization that guides and directs our academic programs. Our curriculum is designed to build as your child progresses through each grade.
Core Curriculum Goals
-
- Students will have opportunities to accept God as the Creator and the Redeemer.
- Students will grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s creation.
- Students will creatively apply their spiritual, physical, intellectual, and social-emotional knowledge
- Students will demonstrate their commitment to the Creator through service to others.
Accreditation
Skagit Adventist Academy holds accreditation from the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA), and the Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (CESS). In addition, SAA is approved by the state of Washington. We are also a member of the National Council for Private School Accreditation.
The Adventist Difference
The Seventh-day Adventist Church has the second-largest Christian school system in the world, with more than 7,500 schools in nearly 150 countries serving 1.5 million students. Local schools operate under the umbrella of Adventist education, so even the smallest schools are part of a worldwide network of dedicated educators and a Bible-based curriculum.
A Rigorous Curriculum Blended with Biblical Truth
Our students are encouraged to learn, explore, and grow at all levels. Our teachers seamlessly integrate faith into each aspect of the learning process, using a wide range of classes and activities to guide students as they develop essential skills for success in school and in life.
Adventist curriculum development is defined by the Adventist worldview and based on our philosophy. While this is the fundamental goal of all aspects of Adventist Education, the specific core curriculum process is applied more directly in specific curriculum development. Standards also serve as an additional framework for development while ensuring the integration of national and provincial/state guidelines.
